What is telephone counselling?
Telephone counselling is the same as face to face counselling except it is facilitated through a telephone call.
Is it confidential?
Yes. I ensure that no-one can hear what you say as I will be wearing a headset, I will also be seated in a private room where no-one can hear what I am saying. It is advisable for you to ensure that no-one can hear what we say, you don’t have to wear a headset, but it is best to be in a private space when we meet. This can be anywhere of your choice, where you will feel comfortable to be able to speak freely.
Why choose telephone counselling?
The benefit of telephone counselling is that you can be anywhere you choose when you have your sessions. You can be in the comfort of your own home, in your car or in a park, the choice is yours. Telephone counselling gives you the opportunity to access counselling at a time and in a place that is convenient to you.
How much does it cost?
£45 per counselling session for over 18’s
£40 per counselling session for students and OAPs
What is the process?
We will have an initial free 15-minute (or so) telephone (or on Zoom if you prefer) assessment. Here you will have the opportunity to ask me any questions you may have. We will discuss what has brought you to seek counselling and I will need to ask you a few questions. It is also an opportunity for you to decide if I am the right counsellor for you. During this contact, I will also talk to you about the admin side of things and if you would like to go ahead with counselling with me, then we will book your first session.
If you would like to make an appointment, please feel free to email me at: ellen@butterfly-effect.me.uk or you can use the contact form on the website.
I am looking forward to hearing from you.
